I believe it is a universal feeling that everyone wants to be a part of something bigger or have that sense of belonging. The concept is has a variety of meanings and is seen as a unique entity to all individuals. God in all things, becoming a contemplative in action, looking at the world in an incarnational way, and seeking freedom and detachment.
There is a need for humans to have a belief in something bigger than ourselves. Thinking was associated with material changes and activities in the brain and the connected nervous system. He has revised his book in order to expound on the topics he has presented. It can be something as simple as looking for a higher meaning to life, or something so complex that one can base their beliefs, religion and overall life around it. When a Hindu sees a rat they think of reincarnated descendants of a Hindu deity and they even build temples of worship especially for them.
Over half of the people I know are Christians. God has taught me through my experience, before and after conversion, that there is work to being a Christ follower. Catholics but also to the Protestants.
